Our Mission

The Northwest Michigan Squash Club is dedicated to the participation in and enjoyment of the sport of squash in northwest Michigan.

The Club carries out its mission by:

  • Partnering with Grand Traverse Bay YMCA to construct the only dedicated squash court in northern Michigan
  • Maintaining a roster of individuals looking for a player for a match or practice
  • Developing a local source for squash equipment
  • Conducting outreach activities to engage northwest Michigan in the sport of squash by:
    • Educating the public about squash,
    • Offering clinics and lessons for beginners, and
    • Keeping the community involved in Club activities through the this website and social media.
  • Providing information about squash, the equipment needed to play, and the rules of the game.

Where We Play

The Club’s activities are centered on the singles court at the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA South Facility. For information about squash programs at the YMCA and availability of play on the squash court, view the Squash information on the YMCA website.
